Washington State grows the hops used in 75% of the beer brewed in America. So it is no small wonder that Washington is home to a growing number of craft breweries. 140+ at last count. Grocery store shelves are dominated by the mega-conglomerates of InBev/Budweiser and Miller/Coors and most of us have never sampled beers from these dedicated beer enthusiasts. At Der Hinterhof, we work extra hard to bring these beers, and these breweries to you, our customer.
The Washington breweries listed below are scheduled to be on site to meet with you, to share their beers, and perhaps to toss out some freebies that we all secretly covet!
June 11
Roslyn Brewery, Roslyn: brewing hand-crafted and full-flavored beers in the old world tradition since 1990. The beers are excellent, full-bodied, German-style lagers reminiscent of those brewed by the immigrant miners in the brewers hometown of Roslyn, Washington at the turn of the century.

Snipes Mountain Brewery, Yakima: Snipes Mountain ales are handcrafted in small batches using
a blend of traditional and modern brewing methods. Our pure

of Northwest and European malts. The use of quality ingredients
and a passion for beer results in a fresh, unique, full-flavored
beer that I hope you will enjoy.

Old Schoolhouse Brewery, Winthrop: Along the Cascade Loop drive, this brewery really is in an old schoolhouse. And they have learned to make beer pretty darn well. Old Schoolhouse will be an official host of our first Oktoberfest weekend.

Lazy Boy Brewing, Everett: It is hard to call them lazy when you see their mounting list of awards. We are thrilled to have them here on site to meet you during the second weekend of Oktoberfest.
Wingman Brewing, Tacoma: These guys are new to the scene. $5 from every keg goes to charity and that alone makes the beer taste better. Meet the brewer here during the second weekend of Oktoberfest.
Golden Hills, Reardon: The 'problem' with many craft beers is how quickly they fill you up. Golden Hills is pursuing the ideal of a great taste with a light after-taste. Meet the brewer here during the second weekend of Oktoberfest.
October 14 & 15
Baron Brewing, Seattle: Since 2003, the Munich Lager has been a very popular local beer. A lager takes almost twice as long to produce as an ale, and the amount of time and effort shows. Baron is one of our official hosts of the third Oktoberfest weekend.
Elysian Brewing, Seattle: Long recognized as a top brew pub, Elysian has been accumulating medals and awards near and far. Join the brewer her during the third weekend of Oktoberfest.
The Breweries listed below are represented on our taps, and we are trying to get them here to meet with you.
Leavenworth Biers, Olympia: An original hometown brewer, and one of the original craft breweries in Washington, these guys made great beer before being acquired by Fish Brewing and relocating to Olympia. They still make great beer and the Whistling Pig Hef is wildly popular.
Iron Horse, Ellensburg: You have to figure a college town would be home to a fine brew. the IPA is boss, and the Quilters Irish Death is a cult favorite.
Alpine Brewing, Oroville: If you are going to brew beer in Oroville, it had better be good! And it is. Brewed in a true German tradition, this is the only Washington Brewer invited to participate annually at the Leavenworth Oktoberfest.
Scuttlebutt Brewery, Everett: When your address is 'Craftsman Way', your beer better be good. And it is.
Boundary Bay, Bellingham: another award winning Washington beer. Especially popular is its Stout.
We highly recommend watching Beer Wars and then choosing, as we did, to support the small craft brewer with our dollars and our taste buds.
